Andrew Carman
Andrew Carman (based in New York and Connecticut) has worked in global finance for more than 25 years. With deep experience in equipment finance, structured finance, project finance, energy efficiency, and sustainability finance, Carman has structured transactions in the U.S., Latin American, and EMEA markets. As former CEO of the Americas for Siemens Industry and Cities Finance, as well as Managing Director at GE Capital, Carman has financed more than $25B in transactions and projects. Since 2017, Carman has sourced and managed $500MM+ in funds focused on ”storied credits” (lower middle market, non-rated) for SQN Capital Management in New York. Before joining SQN, Carman studied new FinTech business models in conjunction with MIT’s Innovation Lab. With this knowledge, he launched PerCina Report, which leverages break-through technologies on the structured credit space.
Carman graduated from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management with a Master’s in Finance degree, as well as Marketing, and is also a graduate of Bates College where he majored in Economics. He currently lives and works in both Connecticut and New York City.
Scott Christopher - ADVISOR
Scott Christopher is a finance professional with 25+ years of experience originating, modeling, and advising clients on structured transactions. He is an expert managing and closing complex deals, including aircraft, rail cars, marine, equipment leases and container deals as secured loans, revolvers, ABS, and leasing deals. He played a key role expanding the scope of Siemens’ Asset Finance team (including commercial aircraft and global marine assets). Successfully closed more than 115 transactions ($10-50MM range) totaling $2B+ of investments. Work background includes large ticket financing and tax structuring at Babcock and Brown, Citigroup, Dexia Global Structured Finance, and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Christopher holds an undergraduate degree in Engineering from Syracuse University and MBA from NYU Stern Graduate School.
Frederic vion - ADVISOR
Frederic Vion (based in London and Paris) has over 30 years of experience in asset finance and the equipment leasing industry. He has extensive experience in financial modelling, structuring, origination, and successful transaction execution. Frederic has advised and worked with government entities, large corporates, and SMEs. He has been an Independent Director and Investment Committee Member of a major Middle east Income Funds fostering expertise in corporate governance, finances, performance evaluation, risk management, audit, and the production of financial statements. He is the founder of BlackTails Capital, specialised in offering and structuring asset-backed finance and leasing solutions to corporates, financial institutions, leasing companies and private investors.
Previously, Frederic was SVP of International Airfinance Corporation, the exclusive asset manager of the first Islamic aircraft leasing fund seeded by Airbus and Islamic Development Bank. Before joining the asset manager in Dubai, he held Director positions in the Structured Asset Finance divisions of Deutsche Bank and Dresdner Kleinwort (now Commerzbank) in London.
Frederic holds a Baccalaureat in Math & Physics and a MBA from ESSEC Business School in Paris.
